Parents with health insurance should obtain their children’s health exams and vaccinations through their pediatricians.
Children under age 18 who are Medicaid-eligible/enrolled, Uninsured, or Underinsured (e.g., vaccine not covered by the plan) can get their required vaccinations through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program which offers vaccines at no cost through VFC-enrolled doctors.
The Florida Dept of Health is a VFC provider; FDOH does not provide physical exams for school or sports.
