Daily Covid-19 Update for Monday December 14th 2020
FDOH reported 348 new test results and 29 positive cases today (8.3% positivity). Total number of cases is now 3745 (3463 residents)

Stay home if you are ill or are a close contact to a confirmed case. Avoid Crowds and Large Gatherings (especially indoors). Stay Apart 6 feet as much as possible, Wear a Mask and Wash Your Hands. Get tested if you have symptoms or have been exposed.

The Health Department is conducting case investigation and contact tracing on these cases. The individuals will remain in isolation until released by public health. The total case count to date is 3,745 for Nassau County (3,463 residents, 282 non-FL residents).
It is with great sadness and regret that the Nassau County Health Department announces that a new COVID-19 death has been reported. The resident was an 71-year-old male. This brings the total number of Nassau County resident COVID-19 deaths to 63. The Health Department sends our most sincere condolences to the family and loved ones during this difficult time. The Health Department continues to prioritize protecting the health and wellness of the community to ensure these solemn occasions are as rare as possible. Protecting the public’s health, however, is everyone’s responsibility. It is vital that the community continues to be vigilant in following public health recommendations to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and to protect each other, including those most vulnerable. The FDOH Nassau County Health Department will not release additional details about the individual to respect the family’s privacy during this time of loss.
