Thursday 24th December

The Health Department is conducting case investigation and contact tracing on 95 new cases.  The individuals will remain in isolation until released by public health. The total case count to date is 4,370 for Nassau County (4,073 residents, 297 non-FL residents).

It is with great sadness and regret that the Nassau County Health Department announces that a new COVID-19 death has been reported. The resident was a 68-year-old male. This brings the total number of Nassau County resident COVID-19 deaths to 66. The Health Department sends our most sincere condolences to the family and loved ones during this difficult time. The Health Department continues to prioritize protecting the health and wellness of the community to ensure these solemn occasions are as rare as possible. Protecting the public’s health, however, is everyone’s responsibility. It is vital that the community continues to be vigilant in following public health recommendations to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 and to protect each other, including those most vulnerable. The FDOH Nassau County Health Department will not release additional details about the individual to respect the family’s privacy during this time of loss.

Friday 25th December

The Health Department is conducting case investigation and contact tracing on 45 new cases.  The individuals will remain in isolation until released by public health.

Saturday 26th December

The Health Department is conducting case investigation and contact tracing on 32 new cases.  The individuals will remain in isolation until released by public health.  The total case count to date is 4,446 for Nassau County (4,146 residents, 300 non-FL residents).
