DOH-Nassau’s epidemiologists are investigating the following new cases today. We are saddened to announce that the Florida Department of Health has reported another Nassau County resident has died from CoViD-19-related complications. The resident was a 91-year-old male. We want to extend our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones at this time.
DOH-Nassau and Nassau EM continue to prioritize the protection of our community’s health and safety to ensure these solemn occasions are as rare as possible, but protecting public health is everyone’s responsibility.
Please be vigilant in following the guidance provided by Public Health Officials to reduce the spread of infectious diseases and protect each other.
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, lathering for at least 20-30 seconds each time. Avoid crowds or close contact with non-household members. Maintain social distance of at least six feet from others and wear a face-covering when that is not possible. Always cover coughs and sneezes properly, and wash hands immediately afterward. Keep touched surfaces clean and disinfected. Monitor your health, and stay home when you are sick to prevent spreading that illness to others.
