Friday morning update from the National Weather Service, indicates the possibility of moderate to major flooding in coastal areas of Nassau County.
- Gale begins late Friday offshore and pushes water towards the coast through Sunday.
- Combined with the highest astronomical tides of the year will produce significant coastal impacts for our area.
- Water will at least reach the toe of the dunes with potential over wash at low points
- Residents with homes or businesses in flood-prone areas can pick up sandbags between Noon and 5 PM today and 8am to 5pm Saturday from the Yulee Road & Bridge Yard at 86200 Gene Lasserre Blvd.
