Nassau is Experiencing Extreme-to-Exceptional Drought and Elevated Fire Danger!
Do NOT Burn Anything Outdoors.

Report signs of burning to 904-225-5174 - Call 9-1-1 for any life-threatening emergency.

 

Statewide Water Use Restrictions Ordered Due to Extreme/Exceptional Drought Conditions. 
NO outdoor watering permitted between 10 am and 4 pm until further notice. 
Irrigation is permitted only one hour per zone on one day each week - either Saturday (odd) or Sunday (even), depending on street address.

Elevated Fire Weather Conditions Continue into the Weekend

  • Elevated Fire Danger due to low humidity combined with afternoon breeze

  • Extreme to Exceptional Drought Continues

  • Do Not Burn Anything Outdoors and avoid activities that might create sparks

  • Smoke Will Cause Unhealthy Air Quality – Check www.airnow.gov for updates

Current Outdoor Water Use Schedule
  • Houses with ODD numbered addresses - SATURDAY
  • Houses with EVEN numbered addresses - SUNDAY
  • Business/Non-residential properties - TUESDAY

  • Irrigation is limited to one day per week and no more than one hour per zone on your scheduled day.

  • No watering between 10 am and 4 pm.

  • Please postpone new planting and gardens that would need more frequent watering.

  • No aesthetic water use (e.g., refilling ponds, fountains, pressure-washing)

  • Restrictions apply to all water sources, public and private utilities, private wells, pumps, and ground or surface water.
